We’ve made some great updates to Instant Messaging in Healthquest that we think you’re going to like.

Taskbar Flash

The first change you’ll notice is that the Instant Messaging window will now flash in the taskbar when a new message is received

So, if you’re working on another application, it’s now easier to tell if you’ve received a new message.

New Message Highlight

We’ve also updated how the Instant Messaging window displays new messages. If you receive a new message, Healthquest will now highlight the sender of the message in the user list:

Instant Messaging now in its own Window

This next update is a cool one if we do say so ourselves.

Healthquest’s Instant Messaging window is now in a standalone window. It is no longer restricted to either the tabletop or the scheduler.

Additionally, the Instant Messaging window now sits on top of all other applications until minimized. So, if you open the Appointment Scheduler, the Instant Messaging will still be visible.

Instant Messaging Window and Notification Popups

Next, we’ve changed how the Instant Messaging window opens in relation to notification popups.

If you have the Instant Messaging window open, and a popup opens – like a Critical Note, for example – Healthquest will auto-minimize the Instant Messaging window to ensure the popup is not missed. The Instant Messaging window will remain temporarily minimized until the popup is cleared.

Similarly, if the Instant Messaging window is closed and there’s a popup open, if you receive a new message, the Instant Messaging window will remain closed until the popup is cleared.

Just one more update to ensure critical notifications are not missed.
